How to break up with a girl that is insane about you and won鈥檛 leave?

She will write notes that say she wants to break up then the next beg for forgiveness and cry for hours and not leave till I accept the apologue. She says I am all she has left and that she will off herself if I leave. Problem is I don鈥檛 love her. She is abusive and at time just bitter. I just want to be done but don鈥檛 want to live with the guilt that she killed herselfHow to break up with a girl that is insane about you and won鈥檛 leave?
She has serious control, obsessive, and possibly psychotic issues.





Don't ever feel guilty if someone does something to themselves.


It is a selfish, uncaring, unloving act to hurt one's self over someone - it shows they don't care about others who may have feelings for them (e.g., family, friends, etc.)





Like the other poster said - most of these types of people will never do anything - they just use it as a ploy to try and force you to stay with them.





A general rule of thumb about suicides - If they talk about it or threaten it often, they aren't serious. Genuine Suicides never say anything because it is the act of attempting that is the true cry for help.


Even then, if it isn't a life threatening act, it still may be a fake ploy just to say ';Look at me';.


Genuine Suicide attempts are serious and often, too late to help because they almost never make calls, threaten before-hand, talk about it, or give signs other than depression.





Put it point blank to her.





If it was me - and I am not saying to do this but - if it was me, I would simply tell her:


';You are not someone I would want to be with. You are in serious need of help. You are obsessive, controlling, and I will not be with someone who I feel could be a danger to themselves or me.';





If she threatens to harm herself, call the police and have her committed just in case she does try it.


You would be helping her more by doing that than if you didn't do anything at all.


She is doing this with you so that tells me that if you and her do split for good, who else is she going to try this with?





Open her eyes to what she is doing.

i have a friend just like that. first of all, they are not really going to kill themselves they just say that so you wont leave. if they did, dont blame yourself shes just crazy. all you got to do is set it straight to her. tell her its over and walk away.
