I have a really cute girlfriend. But she is not the lady for my life. You know? How can I break up with her without hurting her feelings? And I don't really want to avoid any contact with her. So we can stay friends.

you are going to hurt her feelings. There is no way to avoid it. But being completely honest with her is very important. Don't feed her BS lines like ';its not you, its me'; if you have any respect for her. Tell her that its very hard for you to do this. You don't want to hurt her, you care about her. Regardless, be prepared for her to be upset. But being honest is really the only way to go . Friendship may come, but don't expect it immediately.How to break up with a girl?
I think no matter what you are going to lose her as a friend if you don't want to be with her. She may be your ';friend'; but really she will be just sitting around hoping you will change your mind and take her back until she gets tired of it and moves on.





If that doesnt happen she will get mad and never want to talk to you.





You should just be open and honest with her (nicely) so that she can move on
Its not you, its me. IM going through some tough times right now and i dont want to bring you down with me. Effectively blame yourself for everything and put everything upon your shoulders. Works most of the time if shes gullible enough to believe you.
just tell her that you need to explore more girls, like tell her that you still want to be friends but just not gf n bf
u cant have it both ways..just tell her the truth dont be like guys who lead girls on and lose interest in them but keep saying they r interested....
