we've only been dating for a few days, but, she just isnt the one for me. what should i say? im thinking of saying: I need to tell you something. look, i like you, but i think we'd be better off as friends. im just not ready for a serious relationship right now. im sorry. i hope we can still be friends....

no! it's not good at all... it's what EVERY SINGLE GUY says to a girl when they want to break up! first of all, you've only been dating a few days, so her feelings couldn't have gotten too far right? which makes everything so much easier for you... all you have to do is tell her something like: I've been thinking about ''us'' and i dont think this is what i want after all...

There really is no good way to say it... but there are nice ways to say it and I think what you've got there is probably as close as you're going to come. One thing though... if you say you aren't ready for a relationship right now, you can't really go out with anyone else for a while because then she would know that you were lying to her and that just isn't right. So if you are planning to move in in a week or so, just say ';I don't feel like it's right for us to be together right now and I don't want to lead you on'; instead. And definitely don't do it by email or texting... don't do it over the phone either. It sounds like you were planning to tell her in person, but if you have your doubts, let me reassure you that you will come off much more polite a person it you tell her face to face.
