I'll be your best friend for life.'; If she still gets offended and blows on you, than no offense but she's the asshole. When my boyfriend dumped me, I accepted it and stayed his best friend. My parents were ok with it, and they still offer him to visit me and cater to him and respect him. If her parents scream at you, then you gotta tell this to your parents because that isn't right at all.
