How do you break up with a suicidal girl?

Now i want to break up with this girl but she told me earlier in the relationship that if she couldn't be with me she would kill herself. normally i wouldn't take that seriously because id think she was bluffing. But this girl has cut herself just because we were arguing so i know shes serious. What do i doHow do you break up with a suicidal girl?
Wow... no clue. Maybe you could tell her that you want to be just friends. Keep the relationship exactly the same, except just stop having sex with her. Then veeery slowly just start spending less and less time with her, but make her feel secure that you will always be there if she has a serious problem. break up with her and when she tells you she's going to kill herself hang up and call the cops so they can interviene. Her parents might not take you seriously, and even if they did she could still do it and then they'd wrongfully blame you. Seriously just call the cops, that will drive the point of how serious it is to her parents, plus if they stop her in the act she'll be forced to go to counseling. You get to break up with her and she gets the help she needs, it's a win-win situation.
cutting and suicide are two different issues. if you want out of the relationship, you are not responsible for what she does to herself, but you can help her through this. counselors often are able to assess if the person is a threat to themselves and will get a contract and can safely leave them alone once they promise not to commit suicide. since you are so close to this situation, that will probably not work for you. have you heard of lifeline? it is a National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. There is really only so much you can do. I'd suggest you be completely honest with her but offer to help her cope. The longer you pretend to want to be with her, the harder it's going to be on her when you DO break up. I'd also suggest that before saying anything to her you talk to a counselor or therapist and tell them the situation. It's best to have professional advice in a situation like this.
Oh for the love of anything, don't break up with her.

I was in a situation similar to you. If you are serious about breaking up with her it is worth talking to your parents/ a professional on the subject. It's not worth feeling guilty for the rest of your life if you dont take the precautions.
get rid of her, shes childish and immature, you dont need her, tell her to grow up and move on already, the way she is acting is really dumb, you dont need that dude. shes not serious and she wont do it, shes only cutting herself for attention
if i were seriously wanting to dump her. Call the police and explain it. They go to her house and restrain her and put her on sucicide watch to make sure she cant hurt herself. At they same time they will be getting her physciatric help.

Gradually stop calling her as often... don't go over... be busier.... get annoyed more often.... sooner or later... it will get OLD with her too.
