How to help my 14 yr old thru her 1st break up?

I didnt think (still dont) she was old enough but i gave in, I would never let them on a date and always had to be with a parent. But I do know it is her 1st Kiss and 1st true boyfriend. She called me from school crying he is flirtig with someone other girl and she said she was going to break up with him because he wont stop. How can I help her. I remember when I had my first break up that young. I thought nothing would make me feel better. But then my Mom took me shopping, and I felt a lot better. Sometimes buying something new, like clothes, or getting your hair and nails done, can help fill that empty void inside. And I felt better because I got to go to school the next day and show off my new look. Take her out to lunch, and then shopping. She'll forget all about the jerk that hurt her. i agree with amanda,take her shopping and get her nails done.she'll have fun and forget about him for a little while.but thats not gonna make her feel totally better give her a little bit of time and she will realize that she deserves better than that and feel better.
This is so weird lol im 14, and i just went through my first real break up. im still getting over it. if her friends dont help her, all you can really do it just be with her. do things with her. like the others said, go take her out shopping or whatever. do things that she likes to do. im sure if osmeone did that for me, then i would be over this by now.
